In his tenure as an Atascadero City Council member and as mayor, Tom O’Malley has a track record of achievement. He has demonstrated his commitment to our community over and over again and in his 12 years on the City Council, and he has had a guiding hand in many of the positive changes in Atascadero: the restoration of City Hall, the renovation of the Sunken Gardens, the Highway 101 overpass at Highway 41, the Lewis Avenue Bridge, to name but a few.
He is knowledgeable about the problems we are facing as a city and is actively engaged in finding solutions that are inclusive as well as productive.
During our expansion campaign for the new library, we found Tom to be a supportive community partner. We used his Portola Inn for fundraising events, and he was very helpful to us in shepherding our financial concerns through city administration channels. We have always found him to be approachable and willing to help as well as to listen.
Tom has done a good job as mayor, and he will know how to represent the city’s best interests as he continues in that position.
