Atascadero voters are finally getting a choice in the upcoming City Council election. I am moderate and independent. I am running on my own and not as a soldier for the extremist clique that now dominates the city. My record in almost six years as a planning commissioner demonstrates that I have a balanced, nonpartisan perspective and that I decide every matter on its own merits, without fear or favor of anyone or anything. Atascadero’s residential areas need little improvement. Our business district, though, badly needs upgrading, starting downtown.
I will work to create a “destination downtown,” with a lively area of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues surrounding the Sunken Gardens and the Rotunda Building. It is long overdue.
My Planning Commission work, along with 35-plus years of professional experience as a business attorney, gives me the background, skill set and judgment to effectively manage Atascadero’s affairs.
I will bring business astuteness to a City Council where it is sorely missing and prevent the city from making more deals that disadvantage Atascadero and its residents. I will responsibly serve the interests of the whole Atascadero community and won’t be directed by any partisan political group. I offer a choice for Atascadero.
