I find it ironic that we talk about the water shortage on a daily basis, but we do nothing to control its use.
Then you publish the Biz Buzz Extra entitled “More hotels are on the way.” In it, Julie Lynem writes “The county has roughly 9,500 rooms ”
As I continued to read, I found that 10 hotels have been proposed, some have been approved and some are in the process of being built. That’s an additional 1,410 rooms. I agree that tourism generates a lot of money, but when there is no water to buy, then what good is the money? It looks like the county and city politicians could care less about our water shortage and more about lining the coffers.
