The usual flow of diversionary and divisive political mailers began arriving in South County mailboxes May 3.
A mailer directed to Democratic households is the brainchild of 4th District candidate Caren Ray. It reads on one side, “For the first time in 50 years, South County Democrats will make a difference” and “Every Democratic vote is critically important to electing our first South County Democratic Supervisor in 50 years.”
Next, the other side of the flyer reads — wait for the punch line, here it comes — “There’s no place for partisan politics.”
Lordy-lordy: We might be in big trouble with that kind of unsound logic.
