I’m reading a book that I picked up from the Morro Bay Public Library, called “Russia: The Once and Future Empire, from Pre-History to Putin,” as a book request. It reminds me of the divide-and-conquer methods for war, like the Parker Brothers game of “Risk” for empire building and territorial conquest.
What has happened in Ukraine by annexing Crimea is one such example that I have to point out. Russia’s history was all about empire building: Poland disappeared before 1800 because of Russia’s influence and to justify war.
Sometimes people like us, the United States, can’t trust the Russians due to their behavior and history. Would you trust an enemy country that al ways wants to start a war with the United States?
