I have read with dismay a few letters from individuals who say they support Five Cities firefighters but do not support the benefit assessment of $66 per year.
You cannot say you support firefighters and then not provide them the resources to do their jobs. This is especially true when the price of that support is under $6 per month. I know residents of the Five Cities want to be known as the type of community that supports their first responders.
If you are a property owner and have yet to cast your ballot, please take pride in voting yes on the Fire Protection & Emergency Response Services Measure before voting ends on April 4. Identify yourself as an individual who supports the fine men and women of the Five Cites Fire Authority.
