James Madison, one of the chief founders of our Constitution, stated that he desired a document that would preserve the rights of the landed gentry whom he felt would be more knowledgeable and would form the backbone of our new country. These terms that were used in 1787 — “justice” and “equality” — referred not to equal rights of all people , but of those in power.
The constitutional committee in 1787 also desired a controllable president, following the example of the English nobles in 1215 Runnymede, where the Magna Carta placed power in the hands of the nobles, not the king.
Our government in time has become a tool of the wealthy and the corporations. These controlling agents ensure their power through educating the populace that their presence is necessary to preserve our international dominance, and they’re aided by a media, which is also controlled by these piratical giants, the “corporatocracy.”
Their power is worldwide ; for example, in El Salvador, one of their subsidiaries, the Trans Pacific Partnership, has destroyed the livelihood of not only Salvadorans, but also those in Argentina, Venezuela, Bolivia and Ecuador.
The shift back to the people is a necessary step toward democratic responsibility.
