Regarding Steve Provost’s article about saving water:
I am sure there are folks already working to save water, but I think plenty of us can think of new ways to save. My contribution is to cut back on showers and baths — spit-baths can be used when one doesn’t exercise hard enough to sweat all over and washing daily all the odiferous areas works fine.
When you need to wash your hair (and not until then) use the kitchen sink — it’s a good height and has a handy sprayer. The shampoo ads about shampooing twice were only a way to sell more of it, and in a sink less water is used than a shower.
