There should be no exemptions for participation in the Affordable Care Act — that includes both houses of Congress and the president. So-called short-term exemptions (which most likely will not be short term) should not be allowed. The plan should be delayed until all the “bumps” have been resolved.
Those that are arguing the loudest for the benefits of the act are not subject to it. Why is that? Also, if everyone in Washington had to participate in Obamacare, you can be assured that when needed changes were recognized, they would be dealt with quickly. (Well, chances of Congress dealing quickly with anything may be as certain as Obamacare being as good as advertised.)
