Driving south on South Bay Boulevard a few hundred yards from Los Osos Middle School, the county, in its infinite wisdom, put one of those trailer signs that flashes your speed as you approach.
They placed it completely blocking the bike lane so that bicyclists have to swerve into traffic to get past it. Of course, I timed it so I got to the sign at the same moment a group of five bicycles got there, and a few cars in the opposing lane.
Isn’t the flashing yellow school light in the same spot enough? Or couldn’t they maneuver it so it doesn’t block the bike lane?
