I was relieved to read that the 13th Street bridge and the “bottleneck” that goes with it, will be finished in another six months to a year. Am I the only one who notices that there is no one working on it? How long does it take? It’s been well over a year.
Here is my take on it: The construction company working on the bridge doesn’t have any work going forward, so when they finish this mess, they will be out of work.
Oh, and the condition of our streets is a joke. I read where Paso Robles is booming with tourism. Where is the money to put our roads in a condition we can be proud of? The pothole at 24th and Spring streets has been there for more than a month, and is a hazard to anyone with nice, low-profile tires and wheels. Does the head of the department of street maintenance ever leave his office to go for a drive?
OK. Now I feel better. I love Paso, and want it to measure up to what we all want.
