I’m concerned that the proposed Spanish Springs community off of Price Canyon might have some problems. I looked up Spanish Springs and found their website at http://www.spanishspringspismo.com. For one thing, I don’t think Price Canyon can handle the traffic from about 600 new houses and 150 hotel units. This would be a problem in a fire, because if the cars were moving slow and the road was packed, it would be a hazard.
My next concern was where would the water come from? So I checked the website and it said they have identified three sources to supply water to the project. Groundwater would be used for agriculture uses, recycled water will be used for the golf course and landscape irrigation, and then it said a combination of state water, groundwater and Lopez water, added by a conversion of landscape irrigation to recycled water. What I noticed is that they didn’t mention where they’re getting their drinking water from. I suppose they will drink state water and Lopez water, but I don’t know. I hope the city will think about the things I have said.
