I was flabbergasted and disappointed to review the May 8 article “Water district gets support” and see no emphasis on conservation (practically no mention, either). Supervisors adopt seven recommendations, and not one bullet point on conservation?
Common sense dictates conservation is the first step and most affordable action. When we as a society focus on demand instead of supply, we will be better off. There is no more water today or tomorrow than there has been in the past thousands and thousands of years. It is how we use it (or not) that matters. There is no “more.”
