Regarding Monday’s article by Kathe Tanner about the property owners in Cambria who have been unable to move here since 1988 because there has been a halt to water permits:
In the 28 years I’ve lived in Cambria there have always been plenty of existing homes for sale in a wide range of prices. It’s too bad they couldn’t find one to suit their needs.
I already live by the mantra, “If it’s yellow let it mellow, if it’s brown, flush it down”; spent hundreds of extra dollars to have very low flow toilets, shower heads, dishwashers and washing machines installed; recycle gray water for landscaping; and don’t take baths because showers use less water. I don’t do it so more Cambria pines can be cut down to make way for more houses.
