During the Los Angeles riots, I lived in the city of Orange near the Crystal Cathedral. An unknown number of people were going down the hallways of my apartment building banging on doors and screaming, “No justice, no peace!” over and over again.
They came to the door of my studio apartment and started kicking it and yelling. I sat on the edge of my bed with my .357 and waited for them to bust in, but they moved on.
I thought about it later and decided that six shots were not enough — it sounded like at least a dozen people in the hallway. I bought a 9mm that holds 17 rounds (and one in the chamber) just in case.
My point is that I don’t need Dianne Feinstein (who has admitted to having a concealed carry permit) or anyone else to tell me what I should have to protect me and mine. Everything they are proposing would only affect the law-abiding citizens, and none of it would have prevented Sandy Hook.
