As we all painfully know, these are not the best of times economically. Why would Templeton want to compete with a library of its own when this community is sandwiched between Paso Robles and Atascadero, who each have excellent libraries. Atascadero is opening a new and bigger one in 2014 which brings them within six miles of us, and each is easily accessible by bus. I claim there is much better use of our hardearned money.
We need to establish a priority list of which I believe one of the most important items should be the education of our children. Therefore I strongly recommend that Measure H-12 be passed, and I strongly recommend that the Templeton Library Project be rescinded, the money collected given back to the school district, and the property be returned because the school needs the extra parking space.
