Congresswoman Lois Capps is my vote to continue representing us in Congress. Mrs. Capps has lived her life as a mother, nurse and educator. That training she received in working for people has served the Central Coast well: Mrs. Capps and her entire staff put the people of the Central Coast and the United States first. She didn’t plan to be in politics. When her husband, Walter, met his untimely death while in office, Lois stepped up to fulfill his dreams. Turns out she is very good at it.
Mrs. Capps responds quickly — like when Veterans Affairs told my retired Navy Korea and Vietnam veteran father (also blind) that he would have to travel to Santa Barbara for care, they fixed it within an hour.
She works with the opposition party even when they don’t want to reciprocate. And every year when I see Morro Bay Harbor being dredged to keep our fishing industry safe, I remember it is Mrs. Capps who is responsible.
I want a person of honor and strength and integrity as my congresswoman. Please join me in voting for Lois Capps on Tuesday.
