I have heard several potential voters say that they might not vote. (If I had my way, I would take away their citizenship and deport them to Iran.)
These people obviously think that voting is a right, not a duty. I personally believe that every eligible voter must vote in every election. I also believe that if any eligible voter is prevented from voting, he or she should fight it with everything they’ve got. The survival of our democracy depends on it.
Every voter, regardless of party affiliation, should ask one basic question before voting for either of the presidential candidates: “Which of the candidates is really interested in the commonwealth of the nation, including my children, my parents and my grandparents?”
Then decide. Then vote!
