This Thursday night, the Atascadero Parks and Recreation Commission will get its first look at another piece of public art.

The latest estimate puts fixing the City Administration Building at more than $40 million. That is a lot of money, especially in light of the fact it cost $256,000 to build in 1914.

We hear a lot about city planning. E.G. Lewis, who founded three American cities, including Atascadero, was very adept at it. In fact, in 1913 he filed one of the largest land-use maps in the history of San Luis Obispo County.
