Pismo Beach resident and mayoral candidate Kevin Kreowski was appointed earlier this month to the Oversight Board, the successor agency of Pismo Beach’s former redevelopment agency.
San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Adam Hill, whose district includes Pismo Beach, recommended naming Kreowski to the board to replace former community-at-large member David Jewell. The Board of Supervisors confirmed Kreowski’s appointment on Oct. 7.
The Oversight Board ensures that all financial responsibilities of the now-dissolved redevelopment agency are met. Redevelopment agencies throughout California were dissolved Feb. 1, 2012, as a way to help solve the state’s fiscal crisis.
