Pismo Beach residents have a chance today to ask questions of the candidates running for City Council.
A forum sponsored by the Pismo Beach Chamber of Commerce will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers, 760 Mattie Road.
Five people are running for two seats in the November general election: incumbent Ed Waage, a former emergency planning manager at Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant; property manager DJ White, chair of the city’s Planning Commission; Kevin Kreowski, a former agent with U.S. Border Patrol and now a business owner; attorney Erik Howell, a 17-year member of the Lucia Mar school board; and Sheila Blake, a retired airline supervisor.
Pismo Beach Mayor Shelly Higginbotham is running unopposed for reelection.
The forum will be moderated by the League of Women Voters of San Luis Obispo County and broadcast live on Channel 20, a Charter cable governmentaccess channel.
