The public is now being invited to submit suggestions for a related one-sentence slogan that will be incorporated into fair marketing materials and exhibit departments, said Vivian Robertson, the fair’s chief executive.
The winning theme should incorporate ideas such as the ocean, 1960s surfing, the Santa Monica Pier and long boards.
Submissions will be accepted until Oct. 19. The winner will get two season passes to the 2010 California Mid-State Fair, which is scheduled from July 21 through Aug. 1.
To submit an idea, send it to mail@midstatefair.com or CMSF Theme Contest, P.O. Box 8, Paso Robles, CA 93447.
