Motorists may experience delays up to an hour from intermittent road closures on Interlake Road in Paso Robles, an area north of Lake Nacimiento, through June 25 because of road work.

The construction will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with access to emergency service.

The schedule could change, officials said, depending on weather conditions.

Atascadero

A man was arrested this week after police allegedly caught him breaking into an Atascadero home.

Derrick Moore, 19, was arrested around 11:30 a.m. Thursday after a resident reported being assaulted by a man inside her home, said Atascadero Police.

Moore reportedly ran from the home in the 9300 block of Bocina after the 32-year-old unidentified woman came home, said police. She told police that Moore allegedly punched her as she opened the bedroom closet door where he had been hiding. He is also suspected of ripping her shirt and pushing her down.

Police tracked Moore to his home which was nearby and arrested him on suspicion of burglary and battery.
