Demolition work to remove the 1970s-era wooden buildings attached to the historic brick Railroad Square building began this week. The 1912 Railroad Square in San Luis Obispo’s Railroad Historic District is set to be fully restored by developer Westpac Investments, according to planner Carol Florence. The building was gutted in a 2002 fire. — Tribune staff report
