County Roundup

Templeton

A full overnight closure of Highway 101 at Vineyard Drive planned for this week has been postponed, Caltrans announced Monday.

The closure had been planned from 11 p. m. to 5 a. m. Monday through Thursday nights this week. But crews were not ready to carry out the full closure this week, a Caltrans spokesman said.

Caltrans reports there will be lane closures—but not full highway closures—two nights this week, starting at 10 p. m. Wednesday and Thursday and lasting through 5 a. m. the following mornings.

The full overnight closures now are expected to happen next week. More details are expected in the next few days on exactly when the closures will happen.

Signs will be posted to advise motorists of these closures.

The county is leading the project to widen the Vineyard overcrossing and install signals at the ramps. The project is expected to be completed in early 2010.
