Contractors continued Wednesday to remove several tons of stockpiled debris at the center of a dispute between a San Luis Obispo man, who once owned the property, and the county, which took it to expand its airport runway.

The Cal Poly Wheelchair Foundation recently raised $48,000 at its Sixth Annual Gift of Mobility Benefit at The Cliffs Resort in Shell Beach, according to Cal Poly officials. Proceeds from the event brought the team's annual fundraising total to more than $80,000, exceeding its original goal of $66,000.
