The Five Cities Dog Park Association will host a fundraising breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Applebee’s, 1462 E. Grande Ave., in Arroyo Grande.
This is a benefit for the continued upkeep of the Elm Street dog park in Arroyo Grande. Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the door or in advance at www.fivecitiesdogpark.org or by calling 613-7275.
The county Animal Services Division’s Adopt-A-Pet event is set to take place during the farmer’s market from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays through June at Templeton Park, 550 Crocker St., in Templeton.

Creston Classic Rodeo’s Queen and Junior Queen contest begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at Creston Rodeo Grounds, Highway 229 and Swayze Road.
This year, because of the equine virus, the contestants are asked to leave their horses at home. Horsemanship judging will take place at a later date.

Heaven Can Wait Equine Sanctuary will hold an open house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at 6275 Cerros Pioneros Way in San Miguel.

A K9s For Felines Dog Walk Around the Lake will be from 7 a.m. to noon on June 18 at the Atascadero Lake.
With a donation/registration fee of $25, you will receive a colorful bandanna for your dog and a T-shirt for you.
Also, you can get an identification microchip for your pet for $15. All proceeds benefit the homeless cats at North County Humane Society.

The Friends of the Morro Bay Police Department are holding a benefit K9 Walk-a-Thon from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 18 at Morro Rock in Morro Bay.
The event also includes police K9 demonstrations, food, beverages, adoptable dogs, dog carnival, prizes, contests, vendors and more.
