Natalie Schaefer has been named Cal Poly’s new assistant dean of advancement in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design.
She’ll handle duties including fundraising, marketing and communications, special events and alumni relations.
Schaefer joined Cal Poly in 2013 as director of corporate and foundation partnerships. She previously held a job in grants and employee engagement at the PG&E.
And as a fundraiser for more than 15 years, she helped raise millions of dollars for three career-related facilities for Paso Robles public schools, according to a Cal Poly news release.
She also directed two nonprofits, Paso Robles Children’s Museum and the local American Red Cross, developing programs and conducting outreach.
