Rancho El Chorro Outdoor School in San Luis Obispo is keeping children busy this summer by offering them a close-up look at nature.
The school, in the hills above San Luis Obispo, provides opportunities for children to learn about science and ecology in a natural setting.
Recently, Clara Gonter, a naturalist from the school, presented a free lesson at the Arroyo Grande Library about how animals depend on each other in a food chain.
Additional presentations, which are free, are scheduled next month at libraries around the county.
