The annual award recognizes accounting instructors and practitioners who have made notable contributions to professionalism and ethics in accounting. Cal Poly is the only educational institution to have two faculty members receive the award, according to the university.
Mintz joins previous Cal Poly award-winner Mary Beth Armstrong, who received the award in 2009.
