A Paso Robles teen was arrested Thursday after he was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl.
Police responded about 3:20 a.m. Wednesday to Twin Cities Community Hospital, where the victim was being treated, according to a Paso Robles Police Department news release. Officers determined the alleged sexual assault occurred during the night in an open field near the 1100 block of Ramada Drive.
After an investigation, police arrested Aaron Jacob Duran, 18, about 2 p.m. Thursday. Duran was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of rape, forcible oral copulation and penetration with a foreign object.
Duran was being held in lieu of a $100,000 bail. Because of the nature of the incident and the girl’s age, police are declining to release further information.
