One man was taken into custody Monday after crashing into a state Department of Fish and Wildlife truck then attempting to get away.
According to CHP Officer Paul Budrow, a male in his 20s driving a black four-door Nissan Altima sedan, ran into a green Department of Fish and Wildlife truck driven by Jason Chance, a warden with the state agency.
The driver of the Altima fled, pursued by Chance, and lost control of his sedan on the 5000 block El Pomar Road near Hansen Vineyards in Templeton. The Altima rolled into a ditch where the driver, the only person in the sedan, was taken into custody by the CHP.
The suspect was expected to be charged with hit and run, reckless evasion and driving while intoxicated, Budrow said at the scene.
