Al Moriarty says Cal Poly scoreboard was beginning of the end

Al Moriarty, recently convicted of fraud, believes his finances began to spiral when he spent $625,000 to help his alma mater purchase a new scoreboard for its football stadium, according to a document Moriarty filed in bankruptcy court this week.
