The Arroyo Grande Police Department is looking for a 24-year-old man suspected of stabbing another man during a verbal altercation around 10 p.m. Thursday.
Police responded to call of a fight in progress outside an apartment complex near Farroll Avenue and South Elm Street and found a male victim who had been stabbed.
The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for his injuries, which are significant but not expected to be life-threatening, according to police.
The suspect fled the scene on foot, prior to officers’ arrival. He has been identified as Michael Johnny Sylva, 24, who is a transient living in the Five Cities area.
