Each day, dispatchers from the seven police departments in San Luis Obispo County take dozens of calls from residents seeking help for issues ranging from minor disputes to serious crimes. A transient was panhandling in front of a business and was refusing to leave unless the business owner paid him.
What a steal 12:11 p.m. Oct. 29, 2307 Theatre Drive in Paso Robles
Some teenagers went to a cellphone store and distracted the clerk by telling her they were looking for a red phone case. When she stepped away from the counter, they stole a phone. However, the iPhone 4 was turned off and could not be activated.
Mother-daughter issues 2:35 p.m. Oct. 29, 900 block of Creston Road in Paso Robles
A woman said her mom was threatening her. The mom reportedly said she was going to spank her adult daughter. She was advised not to say that.
Deadly steak 4:58 p.m. Oct. 28, 2000 block of Beechwood Drive in Paso Robles
A resident said he was suspicious of raw meat being left in the same spot near a stop sign by his house for two months. The resident said his dog died the day before from poisoning and thought there was a relation between the meat and the dog’s death.
Reducing drag 7:30 p.m. Nov. 2, 872 Foothill Blvd. in San Luis Obispo
A man in the restroom at Club 24 was shaving his whole body with an electric razor.

It looked like someone was stealing from a “Season of Hope” barrel in front of the fire station.
