Jury selection began Monday in the trial of a Cambria man charged with murdering his half brother.
Brandon Henslee, 23, is accused of killing 20-year-old Tyler Hanks, who suffered multiple stab wounds and blunt-force trauma, in August 2012 at the home he shared with Henslee, their mother and her husband.
After responding to a missing persons report, investigators found Hanks’ body under a tree in a wooded area, roughly a half-mile from his home.
Henslee was charged with murder, with two enhancements: one for having a prior felony and the other for use of a deadly weapon. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Opening statements are expected to begin in San Luis Obispo Superior Court later this week.
