Each day, dispatchers from the seven police departments in San Luis Obispo County take dozens of calls from residents seeking help for issues ranging from minor disputes to serious crimes. McBeggar12:51 a.m. Aug. 4, 6300 Morro Road
An intoxicated man with a guitar on his back went into McDonald’s and asked for food. He left the restaurant and rode his bike westbound on Highway 41. Officers advised him of the complaint and said he checked out OK.
Unwanted room service9:45 a.m. Aug. 4, Holiday Inn Express
A woman said Charter Communications entered her hotel room without her permission.
Running just as fast as he can10:59 a.m. Aug. 4, 8320 El Camino Real
A woman said her 10-year-old son ran away from his sister while inside CVS. He was later found at Atascadero Lake Park.
Try whispering10:52 a.m. Aug. 4, 4300 San Benito Road
A man at the elementary school with his dog was reportedly shooting a .22 in the lower playground. Officers talked with the man, and found the noise was coming from a dog-training device.
Suspicious loiterer8:23 a.m. Aug. 5, 9900 El Camino Real
A man inside an SUV in the Heritage Oaks Bank parking lot had a baseball cap pulled down over his face and was holding a newspaper. Officers said the man checked out OK.
Stay off my property2:12 p.m. Aug. 5, 5505 El Camino Real
A woman came to the Police Department to speak to an officer about her neighbors, who hit golf balls onto her property, and her neighbors’ cats, who frequent her property.
Shady neighbor11:43 a.m. Aug. 7, 5505 El Camino Real
A resident said a $90 musical microphone he ordered online was delivered to a neighbor and was now for sale on Craigslist.
