A San Luis Obispo man has been arrested on federal charges of possessing and distributing child pornography, according to a news release from the FBI.
Bruce Klickstein, 59, was arrested June 12 by FBI agents after being named in a three-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury.
Last year, federal agents joined an investigation conducted by the Arroyo Grande Police Department, which had launched an undercover online investigation of Klickstein. After obtaining a search warrant, Arroyo Grande detectives allegedly found at least one computer with child pornography in Klickstein’s home.
If convicted of federal charges, Klickstein could face up to 50 years in prison for distribution and possession. He also faces state charges.
During his initial court appearance in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles on Thursday, Klickstein was released to serve home detention pending trial. A trial date is scheduled for Aug. 6 in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles.
