Each day, dispatchers from the seven police departments in San Luis Obispo County take dozens of calls from residents seeking help for issues ranging from minor disputes to serious crimes. Asking for trouble9:33 a.m. April 10, 1628 Olive St. in Paso Robles
Someone put paint and varnish with a “free” sign in the alleyway. A resident was concerned because it was near the school and general public.

A citizen reported seeing a deer whose face was swollen near its mouth.
Cover blown12:26 p.m. April 10, 700 block of Tanner Drive in Paso Robles
A man was reportedly sitting in a silver sedan on the wrong side of the road, facing the wrong direction. The driver refused to tell a citizen why he was there. Officers were unable to find the vehicle but said it may have been a narcotics task force officer.
When elders attack3:38 p.m. April 10, 189 Niblick Road in Paso Robles
A man said he was outside Albertsons loading his car when an elderly couple approached him. The woman tried to hit him with his shopping cart and the older man put his finger to his chest and made vague threats. The man said he did not know the couple and had never seen them before. He also did not know why they approached him.
Don’t bite the hand5:46 p.m. April 10, 3411 Spring St. in Paso Robles
A resident said a dog bit her 5-year-old daughter. There was no broken skin, but the resident said there was an ongoing issue with the dog being loose. An officer talked with the child, who could not remember which finger was bit and also admitted to attempting to feed the dog.

Young love on display5:32 p.m. April 17, 111 Riverbank Lane in Paso Robles
Two teenagers on the play structure had been kissing for a few hours. A resident was upset that young children in the area could see them.
One too many2:55 a.m. April 19, 800 block of Sycamore Canyon Road in Paso Robles
A woman called 911 crying, saying she couldn’t get into her house. She then said she was fine and wouldn’t provide any more information. She then called 911 again and said she was locked out of her house, and when she was finally able to get in, someone else was there. Officers arrived and found all the residents OK; the woman had just had too much to drink.
