A 22-year-old San Luis Obispo man was arrested Friday for alleged burglary after a woman woke up to find him in her apartment and called police.
Conor Sullivan was taken into custody without incident on suspicion of burglary. He was booked into County Jail in lieu of posting $50,000 bail.
According to police, the female resident of an apartment in the 800 block of Boysen Street was asleep on a downstairs couch when she heard the door to her apartment open around 1:15 a.m. Friday. She ran upstairs and called 911. Officers responded and found Sullivan downstairs carrying a laptop computer.
Sullivan told officers it was the second time he had entered the apartment Friday morning. He said he'd found a key to the apartment two months ago in the parking lot of the apartment complex and that was how he gained access. Officers recovered other property that Sullivan had allegedly taken in his unit, which was two doors away from the victim's apartment.
