Each day, dispatchers from the seven police departments in San Luis Obispo County take dozens of calls from residents seeking help for issues ranging from minor disputes to serious crimes. 4:57 p.m. Nov. 18, 6300 Morro Road
Five boys and two girls took a tray from McDonald’s and were using it as a skateboard in the back lot. Officers talked with the juveniles and told them to return the tray.
Oh what a fright
8:12 p.m. Nov. 18, 9315 Pismo Ave.
A man in a ghilley suit (a type of camouflage clothing designed to resemble heavy foliage) was jumping out and trying to scare people.
2:35 p.m. Nov. 19, 9315 Pismo Ave.
A group of people at the horseshoe pits near the Pavilion were spraying something into a garbage can and then putting their heads in it. Officers issued citations for possession of marijuana.
1:37 p.m. Nov. 21, 5599 Traffic Way
Two people on motorcycles were changing their clothes behind the community center. Officers contacted them and said they checked out OK.
2:26 p.m. Nov. 21, 7379 El Camino Real
A man was passed out on the sidewalk near Radio Shack. Officers talked with him, and determined he was just taking a nap.
7:53 a.m. Nov. 22, 7200 block of Graves Creek
A resident reported the theft of Christmas decorations from her front yard. The value was $550.

An alpaca was running toward San Anselmo.
