A Pismo Beach man out on bail was arrested and returned to jail Wednesday afternoon after the Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit suspected him of dealing methamphetamine.
According to a sheriff’s spokesman, Alexander Bradfordmendenhall, 23, was arrested after detectives observed him in the parking lot of a local fast food restaurant in Arroyo Grande.
“The probationer was out on bail and believed to be dealing in methamphetamine,” said a department news release.
When deputies approached Bradfordmendenhall, he allegedly attempted to flee and was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
Three ounces of methamphetamine were recovered at the scene.
Bradfordmendenhall was arrested on suspicion of transportation and possession of methamphetamine for sale, resisting arrest, and being a felon on bail. He's being held in County Jail on a probation hold.
