The former nursing director of the intensive care unit at a Templeton hospital who had been accused of child molestation last year was accused Thursday of lewd acts with a second child.
Prosecutors added new charges against 40-year-old Donald Baker, alleging he committed lewd acts with a second child under the age of 14.
Baker pleaded not guilty again after previously entering a not guilty plea to charges that included lewd acts against a first child and possession of child pornography.
Baker was remanded to County Jail in court Thursday in lieu of $100,000 bail.
His attorney, David Fisher, argued that Baker shouldn’t have been booked again in County Jail because he’d already posted $230,000 in bail and because he’d been appearing at court hearings.
Baker is due in Judge Barry LaBarbera’s courtroom for a preliminary hearing on the new charges on July 19.
