Original story: San Luis Obispo police detectives are trying to locate a San Luis Obispo man they said stabbed another local resident on Monday afternoon.
Police received a report about 6:45 p.m. of a stabbing that had happened in the 300 block of Elks Lane. When they arrived, they found San Luis Obispo resident Jonathan Blackwell, 41, who had been stabbed one time in his lower back and had minor facial injures.
He was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.
Officers determined that Blackwell had argued with Jesus Gutierrez, 41. Gutierrez stabbed Blackwell once, police said, and then kicked Blackwell in the face after he’d fallen to the ground.
Gutierrez was seen leaving the area in a green Honda sedan with an unidentified female, police said.
