The Templeton nursing administrator arrested on suspicion of child molestation and possession of child pornography is expected to post bail today after a new bail amount was set by a judge, according to his attorney.
Donald Baker, 39, was in San Luis Obispo Superior Court today for a hearing to determine his bail status after being held without bail on an outstanding warrant for a bounced check in Oklahoma from 1992.
Judge Barry LaBarbera set the new bail amount at $235,000 based on his assessment of the arrest information. His bail initially was set at $200,000.
No formal charges have been filed against Baker yet. He's expected back in court Oct. 21 for an arraignment.

Baker was booked into County Jail on Friday on five charges: lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14, incest, possessing material depicting a minor under the age of 14 engaging in or simulating a sexual act, lewd or lascivious acts against children and an outstanding warrant, according to the Sheriff’s Department website.
His lawyer, David Fisher, urged the public to reserve judgment about the case, saying much remains uncertain now about the allegations. Fisher said he expected Baker to post bail today. Fisher said the bounced check was for about $800 and that his client is trying to clear that matter up.
