Two people were arrested Sunday afternoon on suspicion of possessing a stolen car and an unregistered gun, San Luis Obispo Police Department Sgt. Kurt Hixenbaugh said.
A bicycle officer was on patrol around 3:15 p.m. when he noticed a suspicious female in a silver Audi parked on Pismo Street in front of Mitchell Park.
The woman was associated with a man sleeping nearby in the park, Hixenbaugh said. After running the vehicle’s license plate information, the officer discovered the vehicle was reported stolen from Sacramento, and additional units were dispatched to the scene, Hixenbaugh said.
A .22-caliber pistol was allegedly discovered in the car. The gun was not registered to either person, and police are trying to determine if it was stolen, Hixenbaugh said.

The woman, April Louise Crosby, 45, allegedly had a felony no-bail warrant for drug violations. The man, Tahkoda Sims, 26, of San Rafael, had similar misdemeanor warrants, according to Hixenbaugh.
Crosby was arrested on suspicion of felony vehicle theft and probation violation. Sims was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of firearm, felony vehicle theft and felony warrant. They were booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on $20,000 bail each, Hixenbaugh said.
