Bronco senior quarterback Angel Avina, who was given the MVP award by the Coast Union coaches, has been honored with the Most Valuable Offensive Player award in the CIF Southern Section, Division 1, for eight-man football. Avina was also awarded MVP on offense for the Coast Valley League.
Grant Magnuson, senior lineman, who was given the Coach’s Award for his efforts this season, has been named to the CIF First Team on Offense (as center). Magnuson has also been named to the First Team on Defense for the Coast Valley League.
Broncos Danny Rodriguez and Chuy Nunez also were placed on the First Team on Defense for the Coast Valley League.
Sophomore Lane Sutherland, given the Iron Man award by Coast Union, has been named to the CIF First Team on Offense (running back). In addition, Sutherland is named to the First Team on Offense in the Coast Valley League.
And Quinten Raethke, given the Offensive Player of the Year award by Coast Union, has been named to CIF First Team on Defense. Raethke has also been named to the First Team on Offense for the Coast Valley League.
Earning a spot on the Second Team on Defense for the Coast Valley League were Broncos Asher Armstrong and Octavio Villaluazo. Brian Loredo made Honorable Mention for the Coast Valley League on Defense. Second Team on Offense in the Coast Valley League was awarded to Emmany Godinez, Alex De Alba, and Kisslev Justo. Tommy Howard made Honorable Mention from the Coast Valley League on Offense.
