Flier no mystery
Editor’s note: The following letter was submitted in response to the letter titled “Mysterious Flier” (Page 8, May 28 edition).
Pacific Beach Tower Inc. is a tech firm here in San Luis Obispo County, since 1998. We are a licensed engineering company. High-voltage C10, low-voltage C7 and a general contractor, license No. 831865. We specialize in renewable energy and utility saving systems. Yes, we buy and build mostly with components from American companies. There is a reason for that. As some of our foreign clients like to say, “it works, it lasts and it is reliable.”
We do sell and build a wide variety of solutions, including water generators that put out from 5 to 4,500 gallons per day depending on your demand and which one you choose. AWS, an American company, is our OEM of choice. Worldwide patents. Pioneers in the field. We also sell and build solar. Yes, we use Stion. We also experiment and test everything we build with. We have done so with hundreds of systems and solar applications. Built my first solar here in 1992.
We believe in many forms of water conservation methods, including AWG’s. Very cost effective. Far less per month than bottled water. No plastic to add the our planet’s burden. Just a couple of our water conservation fixtures made for home or business can save 20,000 to 30,000 gallons of water per year per household. Less than $100.
My name is Les Corriea, part owner and CTO. Our phone number, 866-977-4296, is on the flier along with our website. Mystery is not our intention. Competent, exceptional water/energy-saving solutions are!
Health care thanks
On behalf of the Cambria Community Healthcare District, I want to thank all the organizations and individuals who donated their time, services, supplies and money for our EMS Day Event and BBQ on May 30.
A special “thank you” to Cambria Hardware, Cookie Crock, Harvey’s HoneyHuts and Cambria Towing for their donations and support. I also would like to thank all the employees, family and friends of Cambria Community Healthcare District for their help and support.
This was our first EMS Day Event and BBQ in many years, and we thank all of you for helping us bring back a great community event this year.
Not so long ago, before the foundation was laid for our current society, Spain spent a great deal of energy colonizing the world. They used their religion as a license to mistreat people.
Genocide, greed and the destruction of countless early cultures accomplished. Today, viewed with romantic thoughts, the mission system was in fact the death camp of its day. Foreign cultures were considered savage and unenlightened. If you did not join their faith, you were in peril. Unfortunately, early U.S. government continued the atrocities, and policy toward indigenous people could easily be understood by the phrase “the Indian problem.”
The doctrines of several religions encourage the followers to love their neighbors. Instead of adhering to that principle, some are demanding more liberties in the name of religious freedom.
The freedom to judge; the right to discriminate; the power to condemn.
