Local multimedia artists Kathi Rippe and Jeanette Wolff are showing their artwork at The Wise Owl, 2164 Center St. in Cambria in a show titled “O.B.F,” (“outrageous babes forever”) in tribute to their longstanding friendship.
The pair have explored the art of collage, gluing and assembling various on the surface of paintings. Rippe’s jewelry creations will be on display at The Wise Owl, and Wolff’s papier mache sculptural pieces were showcased at the 927 show in Cambria. Wolff served as co-director of Cambria’s Center for the Arts in 2012, and both artists have participated in various art competitions.
Wolff and Rippe will be on hand for a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at The Wise Owl. Tess Wright will moderate a discussion, and audience participation is welcome. Wine and cheese will be served, with food and spirits available for purchase, and live music will be featured until 10 p.m. The artists’ work will be on display at The Wise Owl for five weeks.
