Devotees of Pinedorado Follies shows produced and directed by former Disney producer Peggy Christianson are readying their beach chairs in anticipation of the Thursday, Aug. 1 release of tickets to the 2013 extravaganza.
Yes, Christianson is back, and so is the Lions Club Labor Day weekend show she’s been working on since December.
The show takes to the boards at 7 p.m. on the Veterans Memorial Building stage, 1000 Main St., from Wednesday, Aug. 28 through Sunday, Sept. 1.
'Pinedorado Chairman Greg Wilson say he and other Lions Club members are “very excited” that Christianson and the show are back. He promises this show, entitled “Vacation: The Musical,” will be “the most spectacular ever, and I’m not kidding.”
Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at the Cambria Chamber of Commerce.
There are only 65 reserved seats per show, with 155 general admission/non-assigned seats.
Reserved-seat tickets sell out quickly, at $30 each for the first two rows and $20 for the following three rows. General admission tickets are $15.
The four prime “angel” seats for each show already have sold to primary financial supporters. All proceeds go to the Lions Club.
Christianson, whose previous Follies shows have been notable for their elaborateness and cutting-edge technology, has promised more of the same, better than ever. She has lots of innovation up her producer’s sleeve this year, including use of LED technology.
